Get Involved.

Thanks to our talented and dedicated volunteers, the Montana Innocence Project is able to accomplish much with very little staff or funding. We welcome offers of assistance from individuals and organizations interested in supporting our efforts.

Our case work–from screening to litigation–relies on the help of pro-bono legal counsel in communities throughout Montana, as well as investigators, students (typically journalism, law or sociology) and professors.

As a young and growing nonprofit organization, we also need regular assistance with fund-raising, website maintenance, graphic design, research and other spheres. We greatly appreciate any skills you may be able to contribute to our cause. If you aren't able to volunteer in person, please consider helping us continue our work by making a financial contribution.

To volunteer, please complete our Volunteer Form and send an email to
